Anil Kapoor Declines Dhurandhar 2 Cameo, Stays Committed

Anil Kapoor has turned down an opportunity to appear in a cameo role for the upcoming film, Dhurandhar 2, directed by Aditya Dhar. The acclaimed actor disclosed that he had to decline the offer due to a prior commitment to another project. This decision highlights Kapoor’s dedication to professionalism in the film industry.

In an interview with India Today, Kapoor expressed his appreciation for being approached for the role, stating, “Yes, Aditya came to me for Dhurandhar 2. He wanted me to do a small cameo in the film. But the reason I am what I am today is because of my professionalism and my commitment.”

Kapoor emphasized the significance of honoring commitments, indicating that talent alone does not define success. “At that time, I had already committed those dates to another filmmaker. I told Aditya, ‘I would have loved to do this cameo, but I’m already committed.’ He is releasing the film now, and it’s a fantastic film. It’s my loss, but it’s okay,” he added.

Professional Ethics in Film

The industry veteran discussed the importance of maintaining professional ethics, noting that such principles are crucial for long-term success. Kapoor reflected on the nature of the industry, suggesting that situations could arise where he might be offered a role by another filmmaker after committing to a project. “If I then go and do that film and cancel his dates, that would be completely unprofessional,” he remarked.

As for his next steps, Kapoor hinted at a desire to pursue new ventures rather than revisiting familiar ones. “I think I will do something new. Kuch naya karunga (I will do something new),” he remarked, indicating a focus on innovation in his career.
