During his opening remarks, Dr. Nattapol Rangsitpol, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Industry, emphasized the need for technology and sustainability to progress in tandem. The report indicated that 78% of companies anticipate energy efficiency to be a critical factor in their AI operations within a year. Guo emphasized the importance of innovative energy-efficient technologies, stating, “Delta’s vision is to foster sustainable AI by reinventing ‘grid to chip’ power conversion from traditional AC-DC power to high-voltage DC and enhancing resilience through microgrids.”

The event began with an address on “Enabling Smart and Sustainable Industry in Southeast Asia for Global Impact” by Dr. Rangsitpol, who discussed the government’s vision for industrial modernization.

The session titled “From Automation to Autonomous Solutions” featured Mr. Vatsun Thirapatarapong, Country Manager of Amazon Web Services (AWS) Thailand, who highlighted the evolution of automation. Two dynamic panel discussions followed, focusing on the region’s digital infrastructure and manufacturing transformations. The first panel, “How Smart Buildings and Data Centers Are Shaping the Future of Digital Infrastructure,” included insights from Mr. Ke-Vin Lim, Head of Group Innovation at City Developments Limited, and Mr. Suthipat Lueprasert, Managing Director of NTT Global Data Centers (Thailand) Ltd. They discussed the role of AI-driven systems in optimizing building performance and enhancing data center efficiency.

The second panel, “Powering the Smart Factory with Energy Intelligence and Industrial Automation,” featured industry leaders such as Mr. Sven Herschel, VP Bosch Connected Services (Asia Pacific), and Mr. Angkhan Tongkumphong, Acting Director of Facility Engineering and Maintenance at Western Digital Storage Technologies (Thailand) Ltd. The discussion underscored how energy intelligence and automation are reshaping Southeast Asia’s manufacturing landscape.
