Jason Kelce Launches Charcoal-Scented Fragrance with Kingsford
Jason Kelce, the former NFL star, has ventured into the fragrance industry with the launch of his new scent, Slow Burn. This innovative fragrance, inspired by the essence of barbecue, is a collaboration with the renowned charcoal grilling brand, Kingsford. Priced at US$30.62, the fragrance debuted in a striking black bottle topped with a cap shaped like an American football, paying homage to Kelce’s jersey number, 62, during his tenure with the Philadelphia Eagles.
The scent features a unique blend of notes that create an aroma reminiscent of a smoky barbecue. It combines elements of charred hardwood, carbon clove, sawdust, and a hint of powder smoulder to evoke the experience of grilling. This fragrance is classified as a “gourmand-smoke” fine fragrance, appealing to those who appreciate the rich scents associated with outdoor cooking.
Mitchell O’Furey, the head of marketing at Kingsford, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, “Kingsford has spent over a century perfecting the art of charcoal grilling, so who better to create the first charcoal-inspired fragrance?” This partnership marks a significant intersection between the culinary and fragrance worlds, drawing attention to the sensory experiences associated with grilling.
The launch of Slow Burn not only highlights Kelce’s multifaceted career but also reflects a growing trend in the fragrance market where food-inspired scents are gaining popularity. The concept of a barbecue-scented fragrance is novel, aiming to attract both fragrance enthusiasts and those with a passion for grilling.
As consumers increasingly seek unique and personal scents, Kelce’s entry into this market with a product that stands out is noteworthy. The fragrance is available for purchase, and its unique combination of scents is likely to intrigue many who enjoy the outdoors and the rich, smoky aromas that come with grilling.
This product is not just a fragrance; it serves as a celebration of the grilling culture that resonates with many. Kelce’s ability to blend his sports background with a culinary-inspired product demonstrates the versatility of his brand and personal identity. As the fragrance industry continues to evolve, Slow Burn could set a precedent for future collaborations that bridge different sectors of lifestyle and leisure.
