Qatari Shooters Achieve Eight Medals at Arab Championship in Muscat

Qatari shooters delivered an outstanding performance at the Arab Pistol and Rifle Championship held in Muscat, Oman, by securing a total of eight medals. This impressive accomplishment includes multiple individual and team honors, showcasing the skill and determination of the athletes.

Individual Achievements Shine

Among the highlights, Salma Almas triumphed in the women’s 10m air pistol individual event, capturing the gold medal. Her victory not only reflects her personal talent but also contributes to Qatar’s growing reputation in competitive shooting.

In team events, Salma Almas, Duaa Rahmatullah, and Aisha Al-Abdullah combined their skills to earn a silver medal in the women’s team competition. Additionally, Duaa Rahmatullah added another bronze medal to her tally, further enhancing her individual accolades.

Team Efforts and Future Competitions

The mixed doubles team of Al Maha Al Ali and Abdullah Al Sunaidi also demonstrated their prowess by securing a bronze medal in the 10m air rifle event. This success brings Qatar’s medal count to eight, following an earlier haul of four medals.

The Qatari delegation, consisting of 17 members and led by Abdulaziz Mohammed Al-Aji, is set to continue its campaign in the 25m pistol events today, October 12, 2023.
