Southern South Island Farmers Set to Elect New Director

Beef + Lamb New Zealand is preparing for an election to fill the farmer director position for the Southern South Island district. Three candidates are vying for the role: Simon Davies, Glen McDonald, and Matt McRae.

To qualify for voting, a farmer must have owned at least 250 sheep, or 50 beef cattle, or 100 dairy cattle as of June 30, 2023. Additionally, they must reside within the respective electorate and be registered on the Beef + Lamb electoral roll.
