Ayrburn Classic 2026 Set to Showcase Hundreds of Vehicles
The Ayrburn Classic, hosted in Arrowtown, Central Otago, is poised to attract automotive enthusiasts from across New Zealand. Scheduled for the weekend of March 15-17, 2026, the event will feature a diverse display of vehicles, including vintage cars, luxury models, and for the first time, an array of motorbikes and boats. In a significant addition, the event will also host New Zealand’s largest live car auction, introducing a competitive edge to the festivities.
Expanding in Popularity
According to Taylor Campbell, director of Sunday Drive, the Ayrburn Classic has experienced remarkable growth in its second year, expanding to nearly three times its initial size. In an interview with broadcaster Mike Hosking, Campbell noted that the event is nearing full capacity, showcasing the increasing interest in automotive culture within the region.
“The stunning setting, combined with exceptional hospitality and an impressive lineup of vehicles, creates an unparalleled atmosphere,” Campbell stated. This year’s event promises to be a highlight on the automotive calendar, drawing both local and international attendees.
A Unique Experience
The Ayrburn Classic aims to provide a comprehensive experience for visitors. Beyond the vehicle displays, attendees can look forward to engaging activities, educational workshops, and opportunities to interact with fellow car enthusiasts. This multifunctional approach not only enhances the event’s appeal but also fosters community engagement.
With the introduction of the live car auction, participants will have the chance to bid on a variety of vehicles, adding a layer of excitement and serious competition to the weekend. The auction is expected to attract significant interest, potentially leading to high-value transactions that reflect the vibrant automotive market in New Zealand.
As the event approaches, anticipation continues to build. The Ayrburn Classic is not only a showcase of vehicles but also a celebration of automotive history and culture, solidifying its status as a must-visit event for enthusiasts and families alike.
With its stunning backdrop and a blend of luxury and vintage vehicles, the Ayrburn Classic is set to become a cornerstone of automotive events in New Zealand. As excitement mounts, organizers encourage attendees to secure their places early to avoid missing out on this exceptional weekend.
