Al Ansari and Al Amri Triumph at Qatar Equestrian Tour
DOHA: The fourth round of the ninth edition of the Qatar Equestrian Tour – Longines Hathab commenced yesterday at the Qatar Equestrian Federation’s outdoor arena. This three-day event features competitions in various categories, showcasing the skill and dedication of equestrians from the region.
The competition kicked off with exciting rounds for the Amateur (100 cm) and Bronze (120 cm) classes. In the Bronze event, Jaber Rashid Al Amri claimed first place, riding Apollon and completing the course in an impressive time of 57.05 seconds. Khalid Al Hadi secured both second and third places with his mounts, Capion and Carlton, respectively.
Amateur Success for Al Ansari
In the Amateur category, Ali Omar Al Ansari topped the podium with a remarkable time of 26.66 seconds aboard his horse Nikita. Following closely behind were Maryam Abdul Karim Abdul on Beyoncé and Khalifa bin Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani on Zion, who took second and third places, respectively.
The team competition also highlighted the impressive performances, with The Dome achieving top honours. The team finished with a combined time of 115.19 seconds, outperforming competitors Marwan Al Shaqab and Ajwad.
Looking Ahead
As the Qatar Equestrian Tour continues today, more rounds are scheduled, promising further thrilling displays of equestrian talent. The event not only celebrates the sport but also fosters community and camaraderie among participants and spectators alike.
