Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, the President of the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC), is set to be elected as President of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) during the General Assembly in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, on October 3, 2023. Since taking the helm of the QOC on May 7, 2015, Sheikh Joaan has transformed Qatar’s sporting landscape, making significant strides that have drawn international recognition.
