Al Naimi and Al Qubaisi Battle for QSTC 600 Championship Lead
In an exhilarating weekend of racing at the Lusail International Circuit, Mashal Al Naimi and Abdulla Al Qubaisi showcased their skills in the fourth round of the 2025-26 Qatar Superstock 600 Championship (QSTK 600). The competition intensified as both riders vie for the championship, each achieving victory in their respective races.
Race Highlights and Standings
Al Naimi kicked off the action in Race 1 with a decisive win, completing the 12-lap race in 25:18.209 aboard his Yamaha R6. He demonstrated exceptional control and speed throughout the event, leaving Dmitry Sedin from Russia to secure second place on his Kawasaki ZX-6. Abdulla Al Qubaisi rounded out the podium, finishing in third position.
In the QSTK Trophy Class, Sedin also made his mark, finishing first. He was followed by India’s Jonathan Emmanuel in second and Hungary’s Marton Belleli in third. The podiums highlighted the diverse competition within the championship.
Race 2 saw a stunning comeback by Al Qubaisi, who clinched victory with a time of 20:48.010 in the 10-lap race. Al Naimi finished in second place, while Kuwait’s Ali Al Mutawa completed the top three. Emmanuel once again excelled in the QSTK Trophy Class, finishing ahead of Belleli and Russia’s Yuri Nekrasov.
Following these races, both Al Naimi and Al Qubaisi find themselves tied at the top of the Superstock 600 standings, each with 180 points. Geoffrey Emmanuel trails in third with 115 points.
Supersport 300 Championship Update
In the Supersport 300 category, Mahmoud Elbanna maintains his lead in the championship standings with 157 points. He is closely followed by Andrea Giacchero with 109 points and Nolan Macary at 100 points. With the final round approaching on February 27-28, 2026, competitors are gearing up for a thrilling conclusion to the season.
The excitement at Lusail International Circuit reflects the high stakes of the QSTK 600 Championship. As the season progresses, fans can expect more intense battles as riders strive for the coveted title.
