Domus Academy Introduces Innovative Master Programs in Design and AI
Domus Academy has unveiled two new Master programs aimed at addressing the challenges posed by the rapid development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the increasing demand for innovative skills across various industries. The Master in Design x AI and the Master in Design Futures will prepare students to engage with these evolving dynamics in the business landscape.
As highlighted in the World Economic Forum’s Future of Jobs Report 2025, by 2030, AI and information-processing technologies are expected to impact 86% of companies, acting as a significant catalyst for change. Concurrently, there is a noticeable gap between the swift adoption of AI and the educational resources available, indicating a pressing need for professionals who can adeptly combine technology, design, and social impact.
Master in Design x AI
The Master in Design x AI focuses on the development of AI-driven products and services, with an emphasis on ethical considerations and social responsibility. Students in this program will learn to create personalized interactions between humans and machines, exploring innovative connections that extend beyond traditional interfaces. Potential career paths for graduates include roles as Interaction Designers, AI Researchers, Design Strategists, and AI Product Experts.
Master in Design Futures
Meanwhile, the Master in Design Futures introduces students to forward-thinking methodologies such as Speculative Design, Design Fiction, Critical Design, and Experiential Futures. This program aims to empower students to envision and articulate scenarios that have yet to materialize, preparing them for careers as Futures Researchers, Strategic Designers, Innovation Leads, and Service Designers.
Both Master’s programs are accredited by the Italian Ministry of University and Research and confer 60 ECTS credits. The first cohort is set to commence in Autumn 2026, with applications open until March 13, 2026. Candidates are also encouraged to apply for scholarships by submitting their applications or projects within this timeframe.
At Domus Academy, students benefit from a collaborative and interdisciplinary environment, working alongside visionary companies. The institution’s distinctive Learning by Designing methodology combines academic rigor with practical experiences, including workshops and projects led by industry experts. This approach fosters a mindset geared towards crafting innovative solutions for future challenges.
Domus Academy’s educational offerings encompass Bachelor of Arts Programs, Master of Arts Programs, and Academic Master’s Programs, all recognized by the Italian Ministry of Universities and Research. These courses span the fields of Fashion, Design, and Business, equipping students for successful careers in creative industries. A survey conducted in 2025 revealed that 91% of graduates secure employment within a year of obtaining their diploma.
The academy has garnered international acclaim, including the prestigious Compasso d’Oro Award and The Business of Fashion’s Badge of Excellence in Learning Experience. In 2025, it was ranked among the world’s top 30 fashion schools by CEOWORLD Magazine and appears in significant global rankings such as QS (Art & Design), UI GreenMetric, and THE Impact Rankings.
